Dear Friends:

Would You Like to Help on Election Day

We still need some people at certain voting places to hand out our sample ballots supporting me, the District 22 Team and our friends so if you’re flexible and free to work a shift or two on Tuesday, June 24, please email ppinsky@senatorpinsky.org.

The District 22 Team

Here are my choices in the upcoming election. I hope you make them yours. I want to especially highlight Brian Frosh for Attorney General. He's one of the smartest, most humble and most effective legislators in Annapolis. He’s been endorsed by The Sierra Club & the League of Conservation Voters; Equality Maryland & NOW; AFL-CIO, SEIU & the state Teachers Association (MSEA) as well as the Maryland Realtors.  He's also recommended by Governor O'Malley, County Exec Rushern Baker, and States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks. Click here to read his Washington Post endorsement and here to read The Baltimore Sun's endorsement.

Fighting for Cleaner Air and Better Health

Our plan, eight years ago, was simple: push Maryland ahead to clean-up the environment and, hopefully, the federal government would follow. With the announcement of new rules on power plant emissions, our efforts were, indeed, prescient. My sponsorship of both the Healthy Air Act in 2006 and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Act five years ago did help set the national agenda.

Click here to read The Baltimore Sun's article noting that the nation is following our lead. It was a grassroots effort and strategic planning that helped achieve these two milestones. We should all be proud of these efforts and President Obama's new proposal.
